For Valentine’s Day, I finished the second bathroom for Katherine. Took about another 25 hours of work to tape, paint, and clean it up to an acceptable standard. It only took us about a year to finish it, which means I should be finished the big projects inside and in the yard by 2025 or so.

My Father-In-Law bought a house in Harpers Ferry this month. We are planning on using it as a place to get away from the DC area on weekends. Katherine and I went out last weekend and I took a couple of pictures of the inside, and the view from the deck. My batteries ran out before I could finish taking pictures. Hopefully we will finish the minor work on the house soon. Then we can start furnishing and enjoying the house. Did I mention that it has Potomac River access, and 30 feet of (non-attached) riverfront?

I used iPhoto for the first time to arrange the photos. I am not 100% happy with how it conducts itself, but I am close to getting it to do what I want.

My next set of pictures should be with my newly ordered Pentax Optio S4!

Proving that the U.S.A. does not have a lock on corrupt politicians, Canada’s PM Paul Martin is caught in a growing scandal regarding the Public Works Ministry. Martin is or course blaming Chretien even though Martin was Finance Minister during the period in question.

More evidence supporting my theory that all people who wish to be politicians are not qualified to be politicians.

Found an interesting article on the behind the scenes happening of US - Taiwan - China relations in the Taipei Times. Please disregard the fact that is prepared by a fellow of the Heritage Foundation in Washington (a conservative think tank).

Do you have a pesky suitor you would like to get the hint?

Do you have an Ex that won’t leave you alone?

Is there some object of your affection that won’t give you the time of day?

Then maybe you should consider reviving the Victorian Era tradition of sending comic Valentines.

The Commonwealth of Virginia has put up a searchable database of Virginia Department of Health restaurant inspections. Although I applaud Virginia for moving forward with making information available to its citizens over the Internet, I am sad that I can no longer eat at the deli in my office complex (Sizzling Express in Fairfax)!
