It is August 31st and I’m another year older. I celebrated James’ birthday yesterday, he was also turning 28. Some how bowling got a lot more expensive in the last couple of years. More about that from Chris (who was also in attendance). Chris really didn’t do an adequate job in describing how bad the karaoke was! It was literally jarring! We ended up at Krispy Kreme just after midnight. What better way to start my birthday than with fresh hot doughnuts? The only thing missing was the candles, but I am not sure I could fit 28 candles on a single doughnut anyways.

Today has been nice and lazy, just like I like it. We slept in until my various sets of parents started calling to wish me a happy birthday. After a couple of hours of lounging around and eating a bit of breakfast, we got out to the driving range to hit a couple of balls. Luckily there were no black lights, foul smelling fog, or screeching karaokers to distract me. Although that idea may would make some money. What better way is there to attract young golfers to the driving range, than to turn on some black lights and crack open a keg?

Later tonight we are going out to dinner at one my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area, Karen House, with Katherine’s parents. Then probably a relaxed weekend at home with some beer and a maybe a movie.

Yeah I know I am getting boring in my old age.

In its continuing campaign to replace expatriate workers with Saudi nationals, Saudi Arabia has designated two more professions for Saudization. The first step of the process is convincing Saudis that they want to be tailors or barbers, and then training programs will be offered to Saudi Nationals. The first two steps seem like pretty good ideas given the current unemployment rate of Saudis. However the next step (which the article doesn’t mention) is to allow only Saudis to work in these fields putting tens of thousands of Indians, Pakistanis, and Turks out of work.

Racism is wrong regardless of the justification.

What is the world coming to? China’s government controlled union body is complaining that Wal-Mart isn’t respecting its worker’s rights! I wonder if Wal-Mart runs a made in China caimpaign for its Chinese branches…

You have probably noticed that I haven’t been making many entries lately. It is mostly because I hate you all!

Seriously, I am at the point that I need a nice long vacation from work before I will have much interest in sitting in front of a computer outside of work hours.

There is the off chance that the new laptop I am being issued today will make motivate me to spend more time with a computer on my lap.

Be careful where you stick your willy!

“…don’t take it out in public,
Or they will stick you in the dock,
And you won’t come back.”
