Look at who is fighting to defend SPAM!

For those of you that haven’t heard, the DOD had a plan to measure the likelihood of a terrorist attack using a futures market. The Washington Post is reporting that Dascle and Warner are putting a stop to the program. So my reporting isn’t terribly timely for those of you the like to be outraged at some of the stranger ideas our government comes up with.

However, this should be enough to piss off any privacy advocates out there.

This item can not be FCC compliant! I am guessing that with a little research and a little skill with a soldiering iron that you could have a lot of fun starting your very own pirate radio station. Well maybe a little more than a little skill would be needed, but I am 100% confident that with my Father-In-Law’s help I could make it take a mic input, beef up the output wattage, and add an antenna hookup.

If you have not been to Taco Bell lately, their summer promotion is free gas. Funny I thought that was a year-round promotion. My first game piece won me a free bean burrito. That is sure to give me gas!

CNN recently reported that this years deficit will add up to about $1500 per person! Personally I am ready to fork over $3K for me and Katherine, but only if everyone else agrees to do the same thing! Deficits suck, we need a balanced budget amendment.

If anyone is interested in taking a look at my resume here it is. Comments are appreciated, but I reserve the right to ignore them. ;-)

It is currently in MS Word format. Once I am a little happier with the content I will put together html and/or pdf version.

Well being an idiot I was actually thinking of the wrong day when I spoke with my coworker regarding being here for Katherine’s birthday. I know that it is July 9th, but for some reason I thought that was today Monday. Unfortunately it is Wednesday. So I will still be breaking my word by going to work in NYC this week. An extra day together will still be nice.

In other news I was also mistaken in thinking that this was going to be an interesting project. Apparently we have redefined architecture to mean something that I don’t think it means.

Hopefully I will find out exactly where I need to be very soon so that I can make some travel reservations for tomorrow morning.

Do you have too much time on your hands? Do you like to play with your food? Do you believe that hotdogs are best served on a stick?

Then the Corndog Festival is for you!

Make sure to check out the pictures from the various festivals!

I should have had more trust in my coworkers. I will actually be able to be home on Monday night for Katherine’s birthday!

So I have had yet another beautiful (well figuratively beautiful it is actually rainy and nasty) holiday interrupted with possible marching orders. It isn’t as bad as it could be the work sounds a lot more interesting than what I have been doing for the last month in Detroit. Also on the positive side the job is in NYC, which is quite a bit more interesting than Dearborn.

However, this puts me in an awkward position the work starts on Monday and I did the foolish thing of promising my wife that I would be here for her birthday on Monday. That is what I get for assuming that my schedule for next week would be set by the last working day of this week. Silly me! Perhaps I should flip a coin heads I keep my word, tails I keep my job.

Should I post my resume for your review?
