As many of you know we are renting a house from my Father-In-Law. For many years prior to this it had been rented by a couple that did not take very good care of the house, unless you consider Pepto-Bismol pink (with silver and black specks) an appropriate living room color, and enjoy the odor of burnt weasel. My F-I-L has been wonderful about fixing up the house and taking care of the many problems that we have found inside. Still the latest problem is quite a doozy and will probably require Katherine and me to move out for two-three weeks while it is repaired.
I tried to take some picture, but it is hard to take pictures of a hole under your bathroom. Hopefully I can stop by once the floor is ripped up to take some pictures.

Well right now Kevin is here taking down walls in the bathroom. Looks like fun! When I am done burning this cd I can delete the Taiwan pictures from the camera and maybe record the progress for posterity!

have you thought of having the plumbers & other people have a look at the “mostly non-functional bathroom upstairs” while they’re working on fixing your foundation? two birds, one stone, blah blah blah…

As someone who is now 6 months in to a master bath rennovation, I can offer my condolences. We finally have a shower again and the toilet is coming soon. Bathroom repairs suck! But if you need a cheap plumber, you know where to find me…

Jen, you didn’t do all of the work yourself
so it goes a little quicker.
Wombat, If you keep offering me your services I may just take you up on it. We now have a guest room and everything!

You know me - allways looking for a chance to play with power tools _outside_ of the bedroom.

I just need to buy the powewr tools so I can have some fun! I don’t really need to do anything productive, but I can go to the back yard and cut pieces of plywood into smaller pieces of plywood.
Although I may have to learn how to use a chainsaw which could be fun!
