Apparently I am now officially an adult! The top of my current want list has changed from an Xbox to a 3-in-1 leaf blower vacuum mulcher! If you have seen the pictures of my new back yard, the reason for this should be obvious. After around 8 hours of raking over three days I am still not half way done with my backyard! If you take a look at the back yard. I have finished up to about the row of evergreen hedges. I also did the front yard, which is much easier as I was able to rake the leaves directly to the curb. In the backyard I have to make large piles, then rake them onto a tarp to be carried into the front yard and dumped at the curb.
Hopefully I will be able to convince Katherine to buy something like the following on the way home from acupuncture tomorrow.

Dude, I cant believe you compared the holy grail of possessions to a leaf blower/vac. Giving up the Xbox on your list in favor of a lawn care utility proves your loony.

Don’t worry the Xbox is still at the top of the Xmas list. Also I already got the leaf blower/vacuum and broke it. It was great for the 2 hours that it worked. The piece of crap!

leaf blowers are evil. the fru-its of the day-vil.
seriously, they are. noise pollution. air pollution. get out there and rake. it’s good for you, you suburbanite. and then mulch the leaves and use them in the yard. don’t waste! that’s pounds and pounds of biomass just lying around!

The leaf blower was electric, and the town of Vienna uses the leaves as mulch for the parks!
But I didn’t replace it when I went to Sears because the lady was a super king sized mega biatch.
So Jen, is that an offer to come help me rake when I get back from Taiwan?

i’m telling you, get yourself one of these, and just till your entire back yard. then re-seed it next spring. might also help getting it to something resembling level
