Yesterday we had a mild snow event in the DC area. The overblown forecast and warnings by the local meteorologists, and the school districts that close before a flake of snow has fallen drives me crazy! This article in the post is a bit more articulate about this problem.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Each time there is some snow forecast I get the sense that it will be like “The Day After Tomorrow”, and yet it isn’t.
Oh well - this is much like each incident of violence in Iraq (or whereever) always needing to be punctuated with: “The largest terrorist incident, since the last really bad terrorist incident” well not those exact words but something fairly close to it.

The good part about DC’s snow paranoia is that I feel very manly when I pass Jeep Cherokee’s stuck in the snow in my RWD Ranger.

I liked the pictures you took! They where very nice looking!
