It is August 31st and I’m another year older. I celebrated James’ birthday yesterday, he was also turning 28. Some how bowling got a lot more expensive in the last couple of years. More about that from Chris (who was also in attendance). Chris really didn’t do an adequate job in describing how bad the karaoke was! It was literally jarring! We ended up at Krispy Kreme just after midnight. What better way to start my birthday than with fresh hot doughnuts? The only thing missing was the candles, but I am not sure I could fit 28 candles on a single doughnut anyways.
Today has been nice and lazy, just like I like it. We slept in until my various sets of parents started calling to wish me a happy birthday. After a couple of hours of lounging around and eating a bit of breakfast, we got out to the driving range to hit a couple of balls. Luckily there were no black lights, foul smelling fog, or screeching karaokers to distract me. Although that idea may would make some money. What better way is there to attract young golfers to the driving range, than to turn on some black lights and crack open a keg?
Later tonight we are going out to dinner at one my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area, Karen House, with Katherine’s parents. Then probably a relaxed weekend at home with some beer and a maybe a movie.
Yeah I know I am getting boring in my old age.

Happy birthday. I think I got it in on time.
